Hi Tim

Thanks for the nice invite. Its nice to know there are people nearby that know what they are doing. I'm still very new to this type of work but it sure is fun already. Maybe we'll have a reason to run into each other soon.

Larry

Hi Lance,

Its not started yet. I made a big mistake and picked up a lathe a couple of months ago. I'm not sure if its the junk food of woodworking but its got to be close. Anyone into instant gratification will love turning wood. Being able to start and finish a project in one afternonn is amazing. I still have a little ways to go on the first guitar, then I'll tackle the OLF kit. Anyone need a EIR pen and pencil set?

Darin, I have no problem 'fessing up my age. Its just a number. Some days I feel much younger, others, well... the song was right. "Take care of your knees. You'll miss them when they are gone." Besides, I found my first grey hair before my 21st b-day. Don't have the energy or the money to get obsessed about it.

Hey I'm doing 42 for a second year straight! (seems I forgot how old I was a coupla years ago! Problem is, I can't go back and repair or repeat the past!

Between this post and Lance's "Name that Luthier" hilarity, I'm having lotsa fun

Age seems to be like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, I can't remember my kid's age and my age at the same time. Right now I remember that I'm 46, but keep forgetting how old the kids are. They say they are 8 and almost 13, but that doesn't compute.

The older one is quite an artist, and she's tearing up shop class. I have been hoping to get her into inlay, but she seems to be stuck on the actual inlaying part. I haven't convinced her that if she does the art, I can inlay it.
